A court in Italy has convicted a Polish man for kidnapping a 20-yr-old British model for ransom, rejecting the defendant’s claim that the abduction was an elaborte hoax to boost the victim’s career.

It’s understood that Lukasz Herba claims he felt in love with UK model Chloe Ayling whom he met on Facebook.

He said that the whole thing was an elaborate hoax so that Chloe could get money for herself and her son.

However, the court saw things differently and sentenced the man to 16 years and nine months in prison — a month longer than prosecutors requested. Herba denied guilt throughout the trial, even as his story altered, and left the courtroom in handcuffs.

He kidnapped the girl and held her ransom seeking €300,000.

Meanwhile the model’s lawyer sought half a million euros in compensation for Ayling, but said that it was likely Herba wouldn’t be able to pay.

The Judge said that Ayling could have died during the July 11th 2017 kidnapping and imposed the lengthy prison sentence.
