A man is currently in critical condition in hospital this morning after he sustained a number of serious injuries in a farming accident in Co Offaly on Thursday.
Gardaí say the accident which also seen a young boy sustain injuries occurred in Shinrone, Co Offaly on Thursday afternoon.
It is understood the man and his young son fell from a teleporter whilst they were working on a farm.
Reports say emergency services arrived at the scene at approximately 3.45pm, and the 47 year-old man was immediately airlifted to Tallaght hospital, however he was later transferred to the Beaumont Hospital.
Meanwhile the 11-year-old boy, who was also injured in the incident and was taken to Tullamore Hospital, where his injuries are described as non-life threatening.
