According to reports this morning and man is in critical condition in hospital after he was seriously injured in a road traffic incident in the Mountjoy area of Dublin on Thursday afternoon.
It is understood the pedestrian was quickly taken to hospital after the incident which occurred on Sherrard Street Upper at around approximately 4.15pm on Thursday afternoon.
Gardai say the man sustained a number of serious injuries in the collision, although they have confirmed the driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
They added an investigation is currently ongoing in to what exactly caused the incident.
