It has been reported that a man is currently being treated in Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda for head injuries following a house fire in the town this morning.
The man was the victim of a second fire within the town on the early hours, it is believed Emergency services were called to a fire in a house on Patrick Street at approximately 8am, emergency services say they rescued a man who sustained injuries during the fire from the premises and he was quickly taken to hospital.
Meanwhile in a separate incident a woman was forced to flee her home on George’s Street in the town after it caught fire at approximately 4am this morning. Drogheda Fire Brigade say the property was badly damaged by the blaze.
