According to reports a man has sdaly died following a collision between a lorry and a van on the M1 motorway in Co Louth.
Gardai say that a lorry hit a van that was stationary on the hard shoulder after it had broken down near Monasterboice just outside of Drogheda. Its is understood that the lorry then overturned on the embankment. Gardaí, the fire service and the ambulance service arrived quickly the scene.
Gardai say M1 southbound lane of the motorway will remain closed for a number of hours and diversions are in place.
