A man has been shot in the head at a pub in north Dublin this evening. The incident occurred outside Cumiskey’s Pub on Blackhorse Avenue, Cabra shortly after 5:30pm. Emergency services are reported to still be at the scene and the area has been cordoned off.
The condition of the 30-year-old man is serious. He was believed to have been heading to a Chinese restaurant above the pub. A car was found burnt out on Blackhorse Avenue, not far from the scene shortly after.
Gardai in Cabra are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the vicinity of the pub between 5.30p.m. and 6 p.m. or anyone who can assist them in relation to the burnt out car on Blackhorse Avenue to contact them on 01 6667400, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 pr any Garda station.
