Police in the UK are currently in the middle of a manhunt after a 83-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death as he walked his two dogs in a woodland.

The major police investigation comes after the elderly man was found in a woodland area in East Harling, Norfolk on Monday.

It is understood the pensioner was discovered near the Fiveways Junction at approximately 10.45am on Monday morning by a member of the public who was walking in the area.

Police say the pensioner who has not yet been named but is understood to be married, ‘died after he received a number of stab wounds to his head and neck’.

They also say they are unsure what the motive was behind the sickening attack which occurred in a relatively quite area.

Officers are urging anyone who may have been in the area between 9am and 11am on Saturday August 5th to come forward.

Anyone with any information are being urged to contact Norfolk Police immediately on 101, quoting Operation Graduate, visit the mobile police station or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
