The first week in January has been unseasonably mild and calm weather wise, but that’s all about to change over the next 24 hours as high pressure begins to weaken, allowing for more unsettled weather to move in.
The coming weekend is forecast to be rather miserable, with strong winds and plenty rain to go around.
Both Saturday and Sunday will likely be rather breezy and wet days, with some sunny spells in between and temperatures reaching 11C at best.
Early indications point at a drier start of next week, with temperatures rising slightly.
