Mars objective: President Trump announces plans that will see NASA send astronauts to the moon once again

The US President Donald Trump has revealed that he and White House representatives have signed a new space agency directive that will see NASA once again send astronauts to the moon.

In what has been described as ground breaking move by the US media, President Trump has vowed that the US will not only plant a flag and leave a footprint on its surface but instead gather vital information that will provide a foundation for a future trip to Mars.

The latest announcement by the US Government comes decade’s after the space agency sent teams of astronauts to the moon during the Apollo missions.

It is believed that NASA has received full backing from President Trump and his White House representatives who are hoping that the future mission will provide a long term exploration which will ultimately give them further details of the moon’s surface and it’s potential use.

However the White House has said the American space agency won’t be working alone this time around,  but instead they will be working with other nations from around the world who will be providing data and technology which will be a key component in achieving the next moon landing.

NASA say they hope the next moon landing mission will provide them with information that will form the basis for a manned mission to Mars in the 2030s.
