Mary Walsh who has to pay her stepson €564,000 of her €3.4 million Lotto jackpot claims winning the lottery has brought nothing but bad luck




Mary Walsh, the winner of a €3.4 million Lotto jackpot in January 2011 was told she had to pay her stepson, David €564,000 of the winnings which are owed to him.

The woman claimed her stepson received a house rather than lotto payment, but the Judge said David Walsh was part of the family syndicate.

Mrs Walsh claimed she was distrought going back to Ballinasloe on the train knowing that people were looking at her.

She told the Irish Daily Mail: “You hear of people winning money but it has brought me nothing but bad luck”.
