Over 1 million people watched the Pope’s mass at the Phoenix Park on Sunday RTÉ have revealed.
According to figures published by the national broadcaster a total of 1 million viewers tuned in to watch the mass which seen over 200,000 people in attendance.
RTÉ say 535,000 people watched the historic event from start to finish, whilst a further half a million people tuned in to watch it at some point over the course of it’s duration.
Meanwhile the event was also streamed across the world online to 159 countries.
Meanwhile a total of 75 international broadcasters shared the broadcaster’s footage.
