According to the Irish Mirror, the best known garda in the country Maurice McCabe is to receive €5 million compensation.
Garda whistleblower Maurice McCabe went through absolute hell for 10 years. His wife and his children stood by his side as the country became aware of what appears to be corruption to the core.
The Irish Mirror reports that they spoke to senior legal sources last night and that they understand McCabe will receive one of the highest compensation payouts by the State in Irish history at a whopping €5 million.
If he does indeed get that gigantic payout, McCabe will get €500,000 for every year of torment he faced.
