Measles outbreak: HSE confirms two cases of the disease in Dublin

The HSE has issued a health warning, after two cases of measles were confirmed in Dublin.

It is understood that the carriers, an adult and a child, visited four separate hospitals across Dublin in recent days: Tallaght University Hospital ED on July 1 and July 5; Mater Misericordiae University Hospital on July 7; Temple Street Children’s University Hospital on July 13, 15 and 16, and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin on July 16.

The HSE has advised that people who were present at these facilities on the specified dates may have been at risk of contracting the disease.

The advisory note says that people should remain at home if they feel unwell and contact their GP.
