A medical expert on last night’s Ray D’Arcy show said that sleep deprivation could have serious health consequences in the long run.
Dr John Garvey claims that problems such as heart disease and even cancer can be caused by elongated sleep deprivation.
It’s now widely acknowledged that sleep deprivation is a serious problem in society with the usual 8 hours not either being common, enough and possibly even too much for certain individuals.
The bottom line is that everyone has a different sleep pattern and your own body will tell you when you have enough sleep, but a lack of sleep can make the body function at a much lesser rate. It’s important to get enough sleep for your own individual body.
