The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump has been praised after her softer side was revealed yesterday at a children’s hospital in Rome.
President Donald Trump was on a State visit to the Vatican to meet Pope Francis when he wife joined him and received a blessing from the Holy Father for a Rosary beads she owns.
It was revealed today that Melania Trump is a practicing Catholic.
She tweeted after meeting Pope Francis that is was an honour she will never forget.
She has recevieved much acclaim for her interactions with gravely sick children in the “Hospital of the Baby Jesus” adjoining the Vatican in Rome.
Mrs Trump told selfies, signed whatever the children wanted and read with them for around an hour and a half. Even harsh critics in US media said that she carried herself very well and seemed to genuinely enjoy the children.
