The coming weekend is going to be a total washout, if Met Eireann’s prediction is anything to go by.
The national forecaster has issued a Status Yellow warning for heavy rain, saying that up to 50mm of rain might fall on some areas over the next 48 hours.
The warning includes nine counties. The whole of Munster, plus Galway, Mayo and Sligo. It will kick in at 3pm today, and will remain in effect until 3pm on Saturday.
