Met Eireann warns of heavy rain over the next 24 hours, with strong possibility of localised flooding

The national forecaster has warned of a very unsettled 24-hour period weather wise, as heavy and persistent rain is likely to fall across many areas of the country.

Met Eireann has stated that there’s a strong possibility of localised flooding.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, will see heavy rain across Leinster and Munster, beginning to clear towards late afternoon. There will be showery rain elsewhere, and temperatures will hover at around 10C.

Thursday is likely to be a more settled day, but more rain is forecast for Friday, particularly across the south and south west of the country.
