Britain’s MI5 and Scotland Yard have arrested four suspected Islamist terrorists in a series of raids across London late yesterday.
The suspects are aged between 20 and 22 yrs of age. One was tazered during the arrests while another was resisting arrest and police had to take stern control.
Police say they made an “early disruption of what was going to be a significant plot”.
The plot was foiled by intelligence
gathered by MI5 and police.
They said “we don’t want to worry the people of London, but we must keep them safe by alerting them to the danger of Islamic extremists.”
British Prime Minister David Cameron is to issue a statement this morning.
