Well known author Michael Bond has sadly passed away after a short illness, aged 91.
Bond was the creator of lovable Paddington, the marmalade-loving bear who came from the jungles of Peru in search of a better life in London.
The author wrote the very first Paddington book –A bear called Paddington– back in 1958. He would go on to publish over 70 Paddington books, selling more than 30 million copies worldwide.
Tributes have been pouring in for the well-liked author, whose legacy will forever live through his most famous creation.
