Michael Schumacher’s former boss says the German’s health ‘is not good’

There has been no improvement in the health of former F1 great Michael Schumacher according to his former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo.

The Formula One legend who sustained serious brain injuries following a skiing accident two years ago has been in long-term recovery and has been receiving treatment on regular basis. However his former boss Di Montezemolo said today that the “news isn’t good” about the recovery of the German.

A glum Di Montezemolo, gave reporters at Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport an update about the seven times world champion condition saying: “I’m always checking up on him, and unfortunately the news isn’t good.” “He was a great driver and we shared a great personal and professional relationship, we also had the pleasure of having our children at similar times. “Unfortunately a fall while skiing, an accident, has broken him.”

Schumacher, who became one of the sports all time greats, spent nearly six months in an induced coma before he was transferred to a hospital closer to his family home in Lausanne, Switzerland. Schumacher was subsequently released from hospital in September 2014 and now continues his rehabilitation at home, but updates on his condition have been scarce in recent months.
