Migrant given French citizenship after “Spider Man” heroics saving a young child from certain death

A migrant has been granted French citizenship after his heroics went viral on social media, even though some cynics claim the whole thing was an elaborate stunt.

A man who bravely risked his own life to rescue a young boy from falling from the fourth floor of an apartment building is to be given French citizenship.

The man Mamoudou Gassama, 22, who has become a viral sensation in recent days was rewarded for his bravery by the French President Emmanuel Macron, who described the Mr Gassama’s heroics as an exceptional act

Mr Gassama who is now dubbed ‘spider man’, has been praised by many all over the world after a video showing him rescuing the boy from a potentially fatal fall went viral.

In the pulsating video Mr Gassama is seen risking his life as he climbed up the balconies to rescue the four-year-old who was hanging on to a railing on the fourth floor.

Following a meeting with Mr Macron on Monday, Mr Gassama confirmed that the French government are willing to grant him with citizenship as reward for his brave actions.
