Milder weather on the way, but showers will continue for a few days

Today, Bank Holiday Monday, will be a largely dry and sunny day, though there will be some showers falling in the west of the country.

However, a band of heavy rain will spread from the southwest tonight, with Leinster bearing the worst of the weather front tomorrow.

Still, temperatures will hover in the midteens, and there will be long, sunny spells throughout the week, though mixed with spells of rain.

Wednesday is expected to be rather windy, with widespread rain during the day. Heading into next weekend, things are unclear at the moment, but early indications hint at milder weather with more rain on the way.
