The Minister for Health Simon Harris has revealed today that he fully intends to improve the food being served in our country’s hospitals.
It is understood Mr Harris is looking into the issue as he intends om providing healthier options to patients. The review of hospital food comes after the health watchdog Hiqa has previously claimed that malnutrition affects one in four hospital patients.
Mr Harris has apparently requested that all hospitals nationwide send him their menus to see what patients are being fed.
It us believed Minister Harris intends to study the menus and work with professional chefs to create healthier options.
