It may be months away but the Minister for Primary Care Kathleen Lynch has put her name forward to run in the next General Election.
Ms Lynch confirmed the news in a statement she released yesterday afternoon, Minister Lynch has said she will seek Labour party support to run in the Cork North Central constituency.
Minster Lynch also said she made her decision after discussing areas of interest with Joan Burton and Brendan Howlin over the weekend. Ms Lynch will now wait to see if she is nominated at this Thursdays selection convention.
