The Department of Foreign Affairs have told the delegates who are getting ready to zip around the world on the annual St Patrick’s Day trade mission/holiday to tighten the buckle a couple of notches.

The Irish Times reports that a document they obtained shows how the department tells the TDs to not use any flashy limousines, expensive hotels or first-class flights.

They were reminded that these are trade missions, not holidays, and to push investment in Ireland around the world especially given the fact that the UK will now be doing the same after Brexit.
