Colombians are celebrating after the miracle rescue of an 11 month old baby.
The baby survived a major mudslide that killed at least 78 others including 15 of the baby’s relatives.
The baby was found on Monday in the mountainous town of Salgar buried face down in the mud.
Dr Jesus Antonio Guisao who treated the baby said that the baby was unconscious but that he was breathing when he was brought to the hospital and that he was very cold and nearing hypothermia.
The baby was stabilised an transported to Medillin where he continues to be monitored.
The baby’s mother also died in the mudslide.
