After an absurd number of meetings over the past number of weeks, it looks like we’re still no closer to getting a new government put in the place… and the main issue is Irish Water.
Fine Gael are said to be “hell bent” on keeping Irish Water as it is with absolutely no room for negotiations.
Meanwhile, Micheal Martin’s party are said to want to keep Irish Water but “kick the can down the road” so that another government will have to deal with the matter.
Either way, it appears we are no closer to any sort of stable government that will last longer than a number of months at best.
