Gardaí in Co Cork have begun an investigation after a 17 year old teenager was seriously injured in a single vehicle traffic last night.
It is understood the male occupant of the vehicle was badly injured in the collision which occurred on a minor road at Lackenroe, Glounthaune.
Gardaí say the incident happened at approximately 7pm when the car struck a wall.
The driver has since been taken to Cork University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
