French police have arrested a 35-yr-old man after he deliberately drove his car into a packed bus shelter in the Croix-Rouge area of Marseille just after 8am this morning.
He then sped off after hitting a number of people standing at the bus stop. Emergency services rushed to the scene to tend to the people who had been injured in the attack.
An hour later, at 9am, the same car was seen driving into a stop in an area of the city known as Valentine where a woman, aged in her 40s, was ploughed down and killed by the speeding car.
Police have confirmed that this was a terrorist incident.
