A 44 year-old motorcyclist has sadly lost his life following a crash in Dublin earlier today.
The accident involved a car and a motorbike, and happened on Ballymount Road Lower in Walkinstown just after 2.30pm this afternoon.
The motorbike rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a 60-year-old female, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of the collision to contact Crumlin Garda station.
