Gardaí and the RSA have issued a warning to motorists to be extra careful whilst driving this morning as freezing fog is expected in most places.
The warning comes after state forecaster Met Eireann issued an Orange status Warning for fog, last night.
They also say there will widespread frost in most places as temperatures’ are expected to be as low as -3C in the early hours.
Met Eireann say the weather warning will remain in place until 9am this morning.
