Motorists have been advised by the AA to take extra care on the roads tonight and tomorrow morning as heavy snowfall, ice and frost have taken grip of the country.
The North and West have seen some 2 inches of snowfall but it’s the ice that’s the worst problem.
Motorists have been advised that not all roads have been gritted and that most B roads are still ungritted.
