Motorists travelling in region surrounding the Metro Hotel in Ballymun this morning have been advised to take alternative routes as a number of traffic diversions are in place.
In announcement made this morning both the Gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade have said roads surrounding the building will remain closed throughout the day as fire crews will be working to clear the damage caused by the fire.
It is expected the traffic diversions could remain in place for a number days as the blaze caused major damage to the building.
Dublin Fire Brigade say the surrounding roads will remain closed until the fallen debris from the building is cleared.
Those travelling in the area are being advised to take alternative routes and to expect long delays throughout the day.
