Motown legend Dennis Edwards, lead vocalist of The Temptations, dies aged 74




American singer Dennis Edwards, frontman of the well-known Motown band The Temptations, has passed away aged 74.

It is understood that Edwards passed away while recovering from a recent aneurysm, just one day short of is 75th birthday.

The singer joined the The Temptations in the latter stage of the band’s career, and sang lead vocals for some of the act’s best known hits such as ‘Just My Imagination‘ and ‘Shakey Ground‘.

He is survived by a daughter from his brief marriage to Ruth Pointer, a member of the Pointer Sisters.
