Move over Doris: Weather set to become a lot colder as Met Eireann warn snow is on its way




We may have seen the last of storm Doris over the weekend, but the weather is once again about to get a whole lot colder according to Met Eireann.

According to the national forecaster there will be a very wintry feel at the beginning of next week as temperatures are expected to drop to single figures, with Snow, Sleet and Hail expected to fall in most places.

Forecasters say Monday will to be a bitterly cold day with wintry showers of rain, hail, sleet and snow, with the western half of the country expected to have some thunder.

Meanwhile Tuesday will be a cold windy day with a high chill effect. The snow/sleet will mostly fall in the north and east

Whilst Wednesday will be a wet and windy day with rain turning to wet snow at times.
