The AA and gardai have confirmed that multiple accidents have been reported over the past 24 hours – mostly, thankfully, have seen no one seriously injured.
The inclement weather has made driving practically impossible – even in vehicles designed to tackle such weather. Gritters were unable to grit most roads yesterday as Met Eireann declared a status Red Weather Warning – included for public and private sector personnel.
However, some people badly still needed to travel to work, check on relatives and make one commute or another. Not everyone had a crash, some managed to crawl to their destination, however along the east coast multiple collisions, slides, skids and crashes have been reported.
It’s advised that everyone stays off the roads but if necessary, please take extreme care.
