FINALLY, the people of Ireland have started to wake up with the atrocious government we have in power today. We are seeing protests unheard of in the last number of years and people from all walks of life are coming together in order to stop the madness that is water charges.

We have seen literally 70 – 100,000 people on the streets of our capital just a couple of weeks ago. 1,000s of people around the country are getting involved in their own protests. “Ennis says no to water charges” produced around 1,000 people yesterday alone.

But it’s imperative we all stick together. The government are going to try and bully these charges into the normal life and make people pay for a human right. It’s not fair, it’s not just and we all have to take a stand.

There’s a fear-factor in Dail Eireann – Fine Gael and Labour TDs are petrified at the thoughts of people actually taking a stand a fighting back!
For the past 7 years, Irish people have taken austerity, cuts and tax increases and now with these water charges, enough is enough!

We should have burned the bondholders, but that’s for another day – now is the time to stand together and fight these water charges.

There’s another national protest planned for November 1st, more than 100,000 people are expected to take part.

United we stand against water charges – divided we fall and they get introduced for good.
