NASA have found the most Earth like planet 1400 light years away.
Their Kelper telescope which looks for Earth like planets made the discovery of the planet which has been named Kelper-452b.
Scientists believe the surface of Kelper is rocky and that it is 5 times larger than Earth.
It’s atmosphere and surface is said to be like that of Earth’s and as the temperature of the planet could hold water, the planet has opportunity for life.
The planets parent star, Kelper-452 is six billion years old, 1.5 billion years older than our sun.
It’s orbiting of it’s parent star is longer than Earth’s orbiting around the sun, being 385 days.
Researchers say that it’s parent star is 20% brighter and 10% bigger than our sun, but it’s temperature is the same.
