Leo Varadkar hit the ground running yesterday with plentiful support coming in the shape of both TDs and Senators.
Richard Bruton was the biggest name to back the Castleknock TD while many Senators also voiced their support for the former Minister for Health Leo Varadkar.
However, it appears today that Cork’s Simon Coveney is finally gaining ground after many Enda Kenny allies are said to be giving Coveney the green light to take over the reigns.
One thing is for sure, the daggers are out and there’s no love lost here.
