Neither Fine Gael or Fianna Fail will state publicly how much money they spend on Facebook advertising

Neither Fine Gael or Fianna Fail will state publicly how much money they spent on sponsored advertisements on Facebook.

It’s understood from an insider that Fine Gael spent over €25,000 on the social media giant while Fianna Fail spent in excess of €20,000 but no official figures have been released to the general public.

Meanwhile Sinn Fein are said to have spent in excess of €18,000 on its Facebook spend.

Speculation is mounting as to why both Leo Varadkar and Michael Martin seem cowardly at announcing their party’s spend. Some claim that they figures could be triple if not quadruple what is already been rumoured.

Others claim that it’s simply shows that neither leader is transparent with the electorate.
