According to new figures it is understood that almost half of the county’s prisoners released from jail reoffend within three years of their release.
According figures complied by CSO, over 45% of parolees released from prison in reoffended within the first 3 years of their release.
However the figure did mark a decrease compared to those released the previous year.
The report also found men are more likely to break the law again than women, whilst young prisoners were much more likely to reoffend than older inmates after they re-entered society.
