There was some good news announced this afternoon as it has been revealed that 10,000 children will receive Medical Cards as part of a new programme set up by the incoming Government.

The new programme will see purposely assembled Clinical Advisory Group that will examine the guidelines for awarding medical cards for children undergoing treatment for cancer. There will also be additional funding set aside for homecare packages and home help every year.
