The New Year will get off to the perfect start for one lucky punter after they managed to scoop the top prize of €250,000 in tonight’s Lotto Plus 2 draw.
The lucky win comes as there were no winners of the main jackpot worth just over €3.5m.
The numbers drawn in the main draw were: 7, 10, 18, 26, 37, 40, with the bonus number being 4.
Meanwhile the numbers drawn in the Lotto Plus 2 draw were: 2, 5, 12, 15, 34, 37, with the bonus number being 8.
It is not yet known where the winning ticket was purchased, but the National Lottery say it was bought in the East.
