The long awaited flyover at Newlands Cross on the N7, the second busiest road in Ireland after the M50, will officially open to traffic today.
This new infrastructure will now enable motorists to drive from Belfast to Cork without encountering any traffic lights (though there will be a few toll booths along the way.)
The new flyover is part of the €282m N7/N11 Arklow to Rathnew PPP scheme.
