Newly released footage allegedly shows Toronto van incident suspect shouting ‘kill me’ to police officers in a tense standoff  




Footage has appeared online that apparently shows the man behind the incident that seen nine people lose their lives and 16 others injured in Toronto on Monday, in a tense police stand off.

In the new footage which has been shared across the world, a man is seen being detained by police officers after a long stand off.

The footage which has yet to be verified apparently shows the man who drove his van through a crowd of pedestrians on Yonge Street on Monday, confronting police officers following the incident.

In the video the man can be heard shouting “kill me” and “I’ve a gun in my pocket”, after police officers confront the alleged assailant.

The footage goes on to show a police officer to call on the man to “get down”.

However following an intense standoff the camara then pans to show the man being arrested by officers.
