George Hook has been suspended from his job as Newstalk presenter, after his comments about rape victims caused a huge public backlash.
During a show a week ago, the presenter appeared to suggest that rape victims should bear some responsibility for their ordeal ‘if they put themselves in dangerous situations’.
Mr. Hook went on to apologize -twice- for his comments, but was booted (at least for now) from the job earlier today.
