This man has been known to tell it like it is for many years now and last night was no exception.
4FM’s Niall Boylan was speaking on The Tonight Show where he said that the “stretched middle” need to catch a break.
Boylan was referring to the people who are over what most would consider “middle class” or “middle Ireland” who have been pinched every way including loose since the recession began.
He made the point that they’re the last in society who’ve ever gotten any benefits back after the recession told hold, citing the fact that public servants are seeing some of their pay being restored.
He said that these people are worried about not having 50 quid to bring their child to the doctor because they don’t have a medical card. It’s time to help them.
How right he is! We’ll see what happens in next week’s budget.
