Hopes are said to be failing in County Mayo this morning with 3 Irish Coast Guard crew members missing.
The wreckage of their rescue helicopter, Rescue 116 appears to have been recovered with one crew member recovered with it in critical condition.
The search is being carried out around 7 miles west of Blacksod in Co Mayo after the Search and Rescue helicopter with four crew on board lost contact at 1am when it was providing help to another Coast Guard helicopter on a mission in the area.
