A young boy is currently recovering in hospital this morning after he nearly drowned in a swimming pool in North Dublin on Tuesday evening.
According to reports the boy aged 9, nearly drowned at Finglas Sports and Fitness centre after he became submerged in the water for an extensive period of time.
Thankfully he was rescued by onlookers who noticed him not moving in the water.
It is believed paramedics arrived at the scene a short time later after the incident which took place at around 6.15pm.
Reports say he was treated by emergency personnel before he was later transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital where he currently remains in stable condition.
