Ryanair employees have overwhelmingly rejected the company’s offer of bonus payments of €12,000.
According to RTE News staff at the low cost airliner have have rejected the proposal that would have seen them paid the sum in return for canceling their annual leave in order for thousands of cancelled flights to resume.
It is thought the offer was immediately rejected by staff at the company who are also reviewing their current pay and leave conditions.
The rejection of the deal will come as a blow to company who hoped to rectify the situation which seen between 40 to 50 flights cancelled each day for the next six weeks.
In response to the offer the Employee Representative Council, which represents 17 Ryanair bases, said the majority of their colleagues had voted in favour to reject the proposal.
